Southwest Climate Justice Summit:

Join students and community members from across the Southwest for the first Southwest Climate Justice Summit focusing on energy, global warming and the power of students and young people to help stop the climate crisis by organizing both on and off campus for clean energy solutions.

Speakers will include community activists fighting for climate justice from across the Southwest, young people forging the way towards a clean energy future through the Campus Climate Challenge, organizing skills trainings, sessions focusing on energy production in the region, regional networking and hands on workshops and actions that will inspire and empower you and your group.

When: March 30 - April 1, 2007

Where: Northern Arizona University - Flagstaff

Cost: $10-20 sliding scale, pay what you can afford. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. We will provide lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday for those not staying at the hotel.

Housing: We have reserved a block of rooms at the La Qunita Inn. Rooms, which include breakfast, will cost $62 per night (up to 4 people per room - we'll help you find a roommate if you want to share and save $). Rooms must be reserved by March 16, 2007 by calling (928)556-8666. Tell them you are with the summit to get the group rate.

The Grand Canyon Hostel , which also has some beds set aside for us. Their rate is $19/night.e.
