Jul 5 @ 8:00 am – Jul 8 @ 5:00 pm

JULY 5th – 8TH: JOIN US for an LCRWCA workshop about how to use local materials to stop watershed erosion!

BMWC, the Hopi Raincatchers, the Little Colorado River Watershed Chapter Association, and Waterock are partnering in the Dził Yizhiin Region to restore local watersheds. We will host a 4-day workshop from July 5th to July 8th. The starting time of each day will be 8:00 AM. The workshop is titled, “Using rocks to mitigate and stop erosion.” During the four days, the attendees will have the opportunity to learn different techniques of utilizing rocks to help in the reduction of soil loss, help to increase vegetation cover, and to help the water permeate into the ground. We give our appreciation to the Navajo and Hopi young adults who made this possible.

Those who are attending are encouraged to bring water bottles, hats, gloves, bug spray, and sunscreen. Please invite all stakeholders and we hope to see you there!
